Location

Our accommodation was situated in the village of Civitella Marittima, so quite rural, the location was really good. After traveling around Tuscany we were pleased with our choice of ‘South Tuscany.’

Views from the village are beautiful, our property was a typical Tuscan house quite central in the village with its narrow cobbled streets in a quiet location close to other village properties.

Nearby Amenities

Village had a post office, butchers shop, bakery, bars and excellent restaurant plus a few other shops.

The nearest supermarket was only about 15/20 minute drive away.

Bus route to Siena and Grosseto.

The House/Apartment

The house was in excellent condition and well looked after by the owners, who were very friendly and helpful.

There is a small area to sit just outside the front door. From the front door you step into a good sized kitchen/dining area. Spacious lounge and bedroom are combined, has double bed and two bed settee’s. Accommodation has a shower room/toilet.

There are no other rentals in immediate area.

Garden

A small sunny sitting area with steps immediately outside the property. Which is semi-private.

Furnishings/Cleanliness/Living Areas

House was very clean and furniture was comfortable and in good condition with ample seating.

Accommodation has good lighting throughout, air conditioning and all necessary electrical appliances supplied.

Bedrooms/Bathrooms

Bedroom area lovely, large bed with very firm mattress. There is a small well kept and clean shower-room/toilet plus bidet.

Kitchen

Great sized kitchen with plenty appliances, crockery etc of very nice quality. We enjoyed cooking and trying out our Italian recipes.

Problems or Bonuses

Property looks better when your there than in the photos. Owner’s supply a few food items to help you on your arrival. The only bad thing was that we had to return home so soon!

Agency and Representatives (and price)

The owner’s treated us very well and were not very far away if we would have had any problem’s. Their English is excellent.

Accommodation is described accurately and rental price was fair.

Do you recommend this vacation rental to others?

We would definitely stay again and have already recommended it to family and friends.
